Inspired by my visit to the Wes Anderson exhibition at The Design Museum in London where I saw the wings prop used in his adaptation of Roald Dahl’s short story The Swan.
The wings are outlined in golden french wire and filled with a variety of iridescent, white, and pearl beads to create a subtle sparkle. The ‘wounds’ are centred with red faceted crystals and surrounded by smaller glass beads to create a fleshy effect. Finished with glimmering blood drops.
Backed with tan coloured suedette and a large silver toned pin.
Approx 15cm wide and 10cm from top to bottom including drops.
